Deputy Nursery Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at the MiChild Group. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in the daily operations of our nursery, working closely with the Nursery Manager to ensure the highest standards of care and education for our children.
Key Responsibilities- Liaise with the Nursery Manager to provide daily support and guidance to the team.
- Work as part of the nursery team to ensure the smooth operation of the nursery.
- Make decisions on the day-to-day running of the nursery in the absence of a Manager.
- Follow administrative procedures to ensure the nursery runs efficiently.
- Be a positive role model to other staff members.
- Have a thorough knowledge of the nursery's policies and procedures.
- Assist in staff training to ensure all staff members are equipped to provide high-quality care and education.
- Manage staffing levels and deploy staff as needed to ensure the nursery is fully staffed at all times.
- Attend management meetings to contribute to the development of the nursery.
- Be flexible with shifts and working hours to ensure the nursery is fully staffed at all times.
- Conduct fire checks and other safety procedures to ensure the nursery is a safe environment for children and staff.
- Monitor safeguarding issues and take action as necessary to ensure the welfare of children.
- Prepare the nursery for Ofsted inspections and implement any recommendations made by the inspector.
- Level 3 qualification in Early Years or a related field.
- Excellent knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Ofsted requirements.
- Experience of working in a nursery environment, preferably as a Room Supervisor or Deputy Manager.
- Enthusiasm, professionalism, and creativity.
