Job Summary:

As a Consultant Microbiologist with Medacs Global Group / Impellam, you will provide expert advice on microbiology, virology, and infection control to primary and secondary care teams. Your responsibilities will include reviewing and validating bacteriology and virology results, assessing test requests, and liaising with Infection Control and the Health Protection Team as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice on microbiology, virology, and infection control to primary and secondary care teams
  • Review and validate bacteriology and virology results
  • Assess test requests for consultant input
  • Liaise with Infection Control and the Health Protection Team as required
  • Participate in daily ICU ward rounds

Requirements:

  • MBBS or equivalent medical degree
  • FRCPath or equivalent qualification
  • Full registration with the GMC (GMC Specialist Registration preferred)
