About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Conductor to join our team at Great Western Railway. As a Conductor, you will play a critical role in delivering a world-class customer experience and ensuring the safe operation of our trains.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a safe and pleasant journey for all passengers.
  • Manage the safety and operational activities of the train, including checking and selling tickets.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues from Revenue Protection and other departments to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Adapt to new situations and challenges, demonstrating a proactive and flexible approach to work.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Experience of front-line customer service, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality service.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours and shifts.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
