Senior Health Safety and Wellbeing Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Health, Safety & Wellbeing Advisor to join our team in Huntingdon. As a key member of the Building team, you will provide functional health and safety advice, guidance, and coaching to project teams.
This is an exciting opportunity to learn and develop with an established team of Project Health, Safety, and Wellbeing Managers and Advisors. You will play a crucial role in establishing and maintaining the highest health and safety standards for the project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor the project, trade contractors, designers, suppliers, and assist the procurement team.
- Liaise with trade contractors, designers, suppliers, clients, enforcement agencies, and other relevant parties.
- Advise, guide, and coach personnel on implementing the Company Health & Safety Management System (HSMS).
- Assist project teams with production, review, and implementation of the Construction Phase Plan / Project Execution Plan.
- Communicate effectively with line managers, particularly regarding accidents and incidents escalation.
- Ensure that accidents and incidents are investigated, and findings communicated according to Business Unit timescales.
Requirements:
- Experience working with a principal contractor on projects within the built environment.
- Ability to obtain security clearance.
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
- Technician-grade membership of IOSH (Tech IOSH) or above.
- Working towards chartered membership of IOSH – CMIOSH.
Security Clearance:
This role requires Cabinet Office security clearance. Candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain necessary security clearance for the role.
