About the Role
The South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Trust is seeking a skilled Painter and Decorator to join our team as a Maintenance Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, maintaining the high standards of our properties and ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine painting maintenance of Trust properties, including internal and external decoration of ward areas, departments, and common areas.
- Be fully conversant with various types of application, including oil-based paints, acrylic paints, spraying techniques, and wallpapering finishes.
- Manage own workload and liaise with departmental managers for access to ward and patient areas.
- Ensure paint stock levels are maintained and order stock and parts as required.
- Ensure the quality of work is of a high standard at all times.
- Carry out work in accordance with working at heights and permit to work system on various functions in various conditions, confined spaces, boiler houses, plant rooms, stair wells, etc.
- Work from ladders, erect scaffold (once trained), and safe use of the safety harness system.
