About the Role

This exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Painter and Decorator to join our team at South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Trust. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the high-quality maintenance and decoration of our properties, both internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out routine painting maintenance of Trust properties, including internal and external decoration of ward areas, departments, and common areas.
  • Be fully conversant with various types of application, including oil-based paints, acrylic paints, spraying techniques, and wallpapering finishes.
  • Undertake training to increase flexibility across other trades, including light cleaning, lamp replacement, removing and replacing notice boards, signs, shelves, and basic plastering repairs.
  • Manage your own workload and liaise with departmental managers for access to ward and patient areas.
  • Ensure paint stock levels are maintained and order stock and parts as required.
  • Ensure the quality of work is of a high standard at all times.
  • Work from ladders, erect scaffold (once trained), and safely use the safety harness system.
