About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Painter and Decorator to join our team at South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Trust. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the high-quality maintenance of our properties, both internally and externally.
Main Responsibilities
Carry out routine painting maintenance of Trust properties, including internal and external decoration of ward areas, departments, and common areas.
Be fully conversant with various types of application, including oil-based paints, acrylic paints, spraying techniques, and wallpapering finishes.
Undertake training to increase flexibility across other trades, including light cleaning, lamp replacement, removing and replacing notice boards, signs, shelves, and basic plastering repairs.
Manage your own workload and liaise with departmental managers for access to ward and patient areas.
Ensure paint stock levels are maintained and order stock and parts as required.
Ensure the quality of work is of a high standard at all times.

Person Specification
Essential
Experience in related areas, airless spraying, duette, wallpapering, and plastering.
Use of scaffold and safety harness systems.
Desirable
Able to order own materials, cost a job (time and materials).
To provide written reports relating to incidents/maintenance.
Training
Essential
Fully conversant with Health & Safety issues in workshop environment.
