About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Painter and Decorator to join our team at South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Trust. As a key member of our estates team, you will be responsible for maintaining the fabric of our properties, ensuring they are safe, clean, and well-maintained.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out routine painting maintenance of Trust properties, including internal and external decoration of ward areas, departments, and common areas. You will also be expected to increase your knowledge with in-house/external courses to carry out basic duties of other trades, such as light cleaning, lamp replacement, and basic plastering repairs.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have experience in related areas, such as airless spraying, duette, wall papering, and plastering. You will also need to be fully conversant with Health & Safety issues in a workshop environment and have a clean driving licence. Additionally, you will need to be able to work at heights, use scaffold and safety harness systems, and have a smart appearance.
