This role is responsible for maintaining the decoration of all service areas, covering all aspects of painting and decorating internally and externally on the buildings. The work is varied and changes on a day-to-day basis in line with service need requirements and prioritization of works.
Main Duties- To carry out routine painting maintenance of Trust properties
- Carry out internal and external decoration of ward areas, departments, and common areas
- Be able to be fully conversant with various types of application, including oil-based paints, acrylic paints, spraying techniques, and wallpapering finishes
- Manage own workload and liaise with departmental managers for access to ward and patient areas
- Ensure paint stock levels are maintained and order stock and parts as required
- Ensure the quality of work is of a high standard at all times
- Required to carry out work in accordance with working at heights and permit to work system on various functions in various conditions, confined spaces, boiler houses, plant rooms, stairwells, etc.
- Work from ladders, erect scaffold (once trained), and safe use of the safety harness system
