We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Community Forensics Team in Northampton, serving the South of Northamptonshire. As a Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing expert care to patients aged 18-65 years, with a focus on community-based services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership to the Community Forensics Team and Low Secure Unit.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with complex mental health needs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Conduct assessments and provide expert advice on secure care placements.
  • Lead on service development and improvement initiatives.
Requirements
  • Full GMC Registration.
  • On Specialist Register/CCT in Forensic Psychiatry or General Adult Psychiatry with relevant experience.
  • Minimum of six years postgraduate experience, including three years as a Senior Registrar.
  • Additional postgraduate qualifications in Forensic Psychiatry.
  • Publication of original research and management training.
