Forensic Psychiatrist Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist to join our team at St Andrew's Healthcare. As a leader in our Medium Secure Service, you will be responsible for overseeing the management of patients with complex needs and promoting innovation and improvement of services.
As a Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist, you will have the autonomy to make decisions that will help improve patient care and outcomes. You will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the pathways between wards and services are maximised and meet patients' needs as they progress through treatment and recovery.
About the ServiceOur Medium Secure Service provides care and treatment for working-age males with mental illnesses. The new 15-bed male medium secure ward, Hawkins Ward, will be a specialist service for the assessment and treatment of working-age males with mental disorders, including mental illness and personality disorder.

About the PersonWe are looking for an individual who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and has the skills and experience to lead a multi-disciplinary team. You will have MRCPsych or equivalent and hold a CCT in Forensic Psychiatry, Old Age Psychiatry, or General Adult Psychiatry.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape services further through strategic decision-making and improvement projects, while having support from a team of Junior Doctors, administrators, personal assistants, and MDT specialists.
