About the Role:
G D Woodworking Ltd is seeking an experienced National Sales Manager to play a key role in driving sales growth and expanding our customer base. As a senior sales professional, you will be responsible for managing existing customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and developing strategic partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maximise sales potential from existing customer accounts
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the new house building market
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders
- Negotiate and close purchase orders and agreements
- Monitor and report on sales performance
- Collaborate with the sales team to share knowledge and best practices
- Provide regular updates to the company board on sales progress
Requirements and Skills:
- Proven experience in a senior sales or National sales manager role
- Experience selling timber-based products into new house builders is preferred
- Strong network of contacts within the new house building market
- Understanding of the major players in the new house building market
- Driving licence
- Ability to travel as needed, including occasional overnight stays
- Experience using software to prepare prices is preferred
- Understanding of architectural drawings
- Analytical skills with a problem-solving attitude
- Solid customer service attitude with excellent negotiation skills
- Strong communication and team management skills
