Role Overview

The House of Commons is seeking a highly skilled HR Director to join its team. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for delivering the people strategy of the House Service and joint departments. This exciting role will support the House of Commons Commission and its Committees, driving transformation across HR and building capability across the organization. You will lead our corporate approach to reward and recognition of colleagues, and develop a strategic engagement with trade union colleagues and the wider parliamentary community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of Employee Relations and Reward specialists
  • Facilitate and develop formal and ad hoc consultation and engagement mechanisms with Trade unions
  • Deliver relevant recommendations of the Independent Review of Financial Management (Morse report)

Requirements
  • Qualified HR Professional - Chartered member of CIPD
  • Deep and broad knowledge of employee relations, employee engagement, reward and remuneration strategy
  • Experience of managing teams and projects in a complex organization
