Project Overview

The School of Politics and International Relations at the University of Kent seeks a Research Assistant to support an Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) project on resistance to external powers in the developing world.

As Research Assistant, you will contribute to creating, developing, cleaning, and managing the project database, assisting with data analysis, interpretation, and visualisation, and providing administrative support.

Responsibilities

  1. Database creation, development, cleaning, and management
  2. Assist with data analysis, interpretation, and visualisation
  3. Administrative support, including event coordination

Requirements

  • BA or equivalent degree in a social science discipline
  • Experience in social science research, particularly database construction and data management tools
  • Proficiency in reading Chinese language sources
