Social Science Research Associate

**Project Overview:**
The University of Kent is seeking a Social Science Research Associate to investigate the causes and consequences of resistance to foreign presence in the developing world, with a focus on China's influence. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating and managing a database, assisting with data analysis, and providing administrative support.
- **Key Responsibilities:**
- Create, develop, clean, and manage the database
- Assist with analysis, interpretation, and visualization of data in a reproducible way
- Provide administrative support on the project, including coordination of events and activities
**Requirements:**
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a social science discipline
- Experience in social science research, database construction, and use of Excel or other data management tools
- Reading proficiency in Chinese (in addition to English)
**Salary:** Estimated £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, dependent on qualifications and experience.
**Benefits:**
