Recovery Worker Trainee

We welcome applications from diverse backgrounds, including those in recovery from addiction, co-dependency, gambling, previous offending, or homelessness. Please note that we suggest a period of two years in recovery for this traineeship (if relevant).
Job Summary
In this role, you will gain hands-on experience and theoretical knowledge, working closely with our team to deliver exceptional results. You will have regular check-ins to ensure progress and address any challenges you may face.
Responsibilities:
- Support the organization of events and Forward reunions.
- Contribute to researching and writing content for internal and external audiences.
- Promote the Forward Connect network and its interventions.
- Assist with designing and editing our client magazine, The Journey.
- Support the development of social media channels, website, and intranet.
- Research and support new projects and activities within Forward Connect.
- Foster relationships with residential rehabs and supported housing providers.
- Facilitate Forward Connect meetings as required.
- Develop skills in collecting and recording data for audit, research, and reporting purposes.
- Maintain accurate database information according to Data Protection Principles and Law.
- Carry out other tasks and responsibilities as directed by the Line Manager.
Requirements
- An understanding of vulnerable adults' needs in recovery with experience of previous offending or homelessness.
- Commitment to equal opportunity principles and client confidentiality.
- Able to manage workload effectively to deadlines and targets.
- An understanding of clients' needs who are in or working towards recovery.
- An ability to set and maintain professional boundaries.
- Grade C or above in GCSE English and Maths, or able to meet qualification requirements in English and Maths.
