Assistant Contracts Manager

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Contracts Manager to join our team at Think Recruitment. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for supporting our Project Managers on various projects, developing your skills and expertise in contract management, and contributing to the success of our clients.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of Microsoft Project programming software and all other standard Office software. You will be required to travel to site 2-3 days per week, and you must be flexible to do so. As your experience grows, you will start to lead small projects as the lead Project Manager, with the full team supporting you every step of the way.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing support to Project Managers on various projects, including commercial fit-out, dilapidations, and refurbishment.
  • Coordinating and monitoring subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Compiling and updating a CPHSP in conjunction with the H&S Advisor.
  • Compiling contract Variations with the Quantity Surveyors.
  • Material take-offs & procurement.
  • Undertaking site surveys.
  • Chairing Project & Design team meetings, providing written minutes & action tracking.
  • Reviewing and approving subcontractor RAMS.
  • Regular site visits to check on progress and quality of work (QA).
  • Developing tender programmes through to Construction phase level, recording progress and delays.
  • Reviewing design information, compiling and tracking RFI's.
  • Assessing design details, highlighting potential issues, and pro-actively seeking guidance to ensure problems are overcome in a swift and agreeable manner.
  • Participating in weekly reviews of progress, budget, and resourcing.
  • Compiling Contractor's Reports and attending Site Progress Meetings.
  • General administrative duties.
