Assistant Contracts Manager

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Contracts Manager to join our team. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of projects across various sectors, including industrial, commercial, and education.
The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of Microsoft Project programming software and all other standard Office software. You will be required to travel to site 2-3 days per week and must be flexible to do so.
Key Responsibilities:- Providing support to Project Managers on various projects
- Shadowing on projects to develop skills further
- Leading small projects with the full team supporting you
- Overseeing site-based Site Managers and dealing with day-to-day issues
- Co-ordination and monitoring of subcontractors and suppliers
- Compiling and updating a CPHSP in conjunction with H&S Advisor
- Compiling contract Variations with the Quantity Surveyors
- Material take-offs & procurement
- Undertaking site surveys
- Chair Project & Design team meetings, provide written minutes & action tracking
- Reviewing and approval of subcontractor RAMS
- Regular site visits to check on progress and quality of work (QA)
- Development of tender programmes through to Construction phase level, record progress and delays
- Reviewing design information, compiling and tracking of RFI's
- Assessing design details, highlighting potential issues, and pro-actively seeking guidance to ensure problems are overcome in a swift and agreeable manner
- Participating in weekly reviews of progress, budget and resourcing
- Compiling Contractor's Reports and attending Site Progress Meetings
