Job Summary

Nidec Power seeks a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Power division, you will be responsible for performing electrical and mechanical operations for our customers.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly to urgent on-site support requests
  • Maintain equipment for customers and troubleshoot electrical or mechanical issues
  • Conduct on-site investigations to identify the root cause of failures
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety Regulations and Nidec policy
  • Provide on-call assistance to customers via telephone
  • Manage own work-related administration, including on-site reports and travel arrangements

Project Leadership:

  • Communicate effectively with the sales department to resolve customer issues
  • Coordinate with the sales administration team to ensure internal orders of parts for repair are processed correctly
  • Ensure projects are carried out in line with Health and Safety policies, considering geographical risk and customer feedback
  • Liaise with the sales and sales administration team to generate further sales opportunities

Travel Requirements:

This role requires frequent travel within the UK and Ireland.

Compensation: £55,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience
