Field Service Technician Leader

This is an exciting opportunity to join Nidec Power as a Field Technician in our Power division.
You will be responsible for performing electrical and mechanical operations, managing projects, and key tasks within the service department.
Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to urgent on-site support requests
- Carry out equipment maintenance and resolve electrical or mechanical breakdowns
- Investigate on-site breakdowns to determine root causes
- Fulfill regulatory and company health and safety requirements
- Provide phone-based on-call assistance to customers
- Manage administrative tasks related to work activities
Duties as Project Leader:
- Collaborate with sales team to resolve customer complaints
- Work with sales administration team to ensure accurate processing of internal orders
- Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols during project execution
- Facilitate interaction between sales, administration, and other departments to drive additional sales
Travel Expectations:
Frequent travel throughout the UK and Ireland.
Requirements:
- Relevant degree or certification (ONC or BTEC in electrical engineering)
- Practical experience in maintaining rotating electrical machines
- Sound understanding of electrical principles and practices
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Compensation Package: The estimated annual salary range is £40,000 - £55,000.
