About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Nidec Power as a Field Technician in our Power division.

You will be responsible for performing electrical and mechanical operations, managing projects, and key tasks within the service department.

Responsibilities:

  1. Respond promptly to urgent on-site support requests
  2. Carry out equipment maintenance and resolve electrical or mechanical breakdowns
  3. Investigate on-site breakdowns to determine root causes
  4. Fulfill regulatory and company health and safety requirements
  5. Provide phone-based on-call assistance to customers
  6. Manage administrative tasks related to work activities

Duties as Project Leader:

  1. Collaborate with sales team to resolve customer complaints
  2. Work with sales administration team to ensure accurate processing of internal orders
  3. Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols during project execution
  4. Facilitate interaction between sales, administration, and other departments to drive additional sales

Travel Expectations:

Frequent travel throughout the UK and Ireland.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree or certification (ONC or BTEC in electrical engineering)
  • Practical experience in maintaining rotating electrical machines
  • Sound understanding of electrical principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Compensation Package: The estimated annual salary range is £40,000 - £55,000.
