Finance Administrator - Accounts Payable

Job Overview

A talented Finance Administrator to play a crucial role in our finance team. As a Finance Administrator - Accounts Payable, you'll be responsible for processing and managing the purchase ledger transactions for three of our UK sites, ensuring smooth financial operations and contributing to our continued success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and manage purchase ledger transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Reconcile supplier statements to purchase ledger accounts and check debit balance accounts.
  • Handle purchase ledger queries internally and externally, providing timely and accurate responses.
  • Process staff expense claims and manage weekly payments.
  • Reconcile and post company credit card statements onto the accounting system.
  • Provide cash book postings, weekly bank reconciliations, and support with cash flow forecasts.

Requirements

  • Over 3 years' experience in a relevant finance role with sound knowledge of purchase ledger processes.
  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
  • Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
  • Data entry skills and numeracy skills.
  • Proficient in Excel with good working knowledge of other Microsoft Office packages.
  • Well-organized and able to prioritize concurrent deadlines.
