Cardiac Surgery Clinical Fellow

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cardiac Surgery Clinical Fellow to join our team at Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. This is a full-time appointment for 12 months as a Clinical Fellow (ST3+ Grade), based at Castle Hill Hospital in Hull, the tertiary referral centre for cardiology in East Yorkshire.
The post forms part of the complement of 12 middle grades within the department and is intended to closely mirror the service and training opportunities that cardiology specialist registrars undergo. The successful applicant will be expected to take part in the on-call rota (approx 1 in 12).
Main Responsibilities:- Provide input to outpatient clinics and ward patients at Castle Hill Hospital and Hull Royal Infirmary.
- Take full and independent responsibility for the clinical care of patients.
- Lead on the smooth and efficient running of the unit.
- Organise, prioritise and manage high intensity workload.
- Full Registration with the GMC.
- Valid ALS certificate.
- Postgraduate qualification in Education or significant experience in postgraduate training.
- Ability to work flexibly in a changing health service.
- Excellent manner with patients, being sensitive to their needs and fears.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, relatives, GPs, Nurses, and other health professionals.
