Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Engineering to lead our multidisciplinary engineering group, driving the development of innovative and scalable quantum networking hardware. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, budgeting, and resource allocation across all stages of project delivery and the product development process.

As part of our dynamic team, you will have the opportunity to work on complex projects involving a mix of hardware and software components, including FPGA, microcontrollers, RF/mixed-signal, low-latency control, and other cutting-edge technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate technical activities of the Digital Design, Software, Electronics, and Mechanical teams.
  • Take responsibility for planning, budgeting, and resource allocation across all stages of project delivery and the product development process.
  • Collaborate closely with the PMO team, acting as the technical authority for engineering deliverables in Nu Quantum's technology development programmes.
  • Own and continuously improve engineering development processes and tools as Nu Quantum grows.
  • Responsible for championing high-quality technical documentation.

In return for your expertise, we offer a competitive salary of £95,000-£145,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits, including private medical and dental cover, gym membership, cycle-to-work scheme, and generous time off.
