Job Overview:

The Head of Engineering will play a pivotal role in leading a multidisciplinary engineering team that includes Digital Design, Software, Electronics, Mechanical, and Nanofabrication disciplines. This leadership role involves guiding the development of cutting-edge quantum networking hardware and overseeing the entire product lifecycle, from concept and design through to manufacturing and market release.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead cross-disciplinary engineering teams to drive technical innovation and product quality.
  • Take prototypes through product development, manufacturing, and release to customers, including product certification.
  • Collaborate closely with company leadership to align technical strategies with broader company goals.
  • Mentor the engineering teams and foster a culture of innovation and growth within the organisation.

Requirements:

  • Extensive industry experience in leading cross-disciplinary engineering teams.
  • Experience taking prototypes through product development, manufacturing, and release to customers.
  • Familiarity with project management techniques and process workflow management tools.
  • Knowledge of test-driven development processes.
  • Experience in engineering best practices.
