Health Care Support Worker

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Health Care Support Worker to join our team at George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust. As a key member of the Endoscopy Unit, you will provide high-quality patient care and support in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual to work as part of a dynamic team, delivering exceptional patient care and supporting the nursing staff in the Endoscopy Unit. You will be responsible for providing personalized care to patients, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being throughout their stay with us.

Main Responsibilities
The successful candidate will have a range of responsibilities, including:
  1. Providing personal care to patients, such as bathing, dressing, and toileting.
  2. Supporting patients with mobility issues, including mobilizing them to the toilet or commode.
  3. Assisting with wound care, catheterization, and stoma management.
  4. Monitoring patients' vital signs and reporting any changes to the nursing staff.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a healthcare setting, possess excellent communication skills, and be able to maintain confidentiality at all times.

Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:
  1. Hold a minimum of 3 GCSEs Grades A-D, including English and Maths.
  2. Have a Level 1 Key Skills/Functional Skills qualification in Numeracy, Literacy, and Communication.
  3. Have at least six months of experience working in a healthcare environment.
