About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Clinical Psychologist to join our newly formed Community Complex Conditions Service in Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB). This is a unique opportunity to work in an interdisciplinary team, providing clinical psychology services to patients with complex conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake clinical work within the BCUHB Community Complex Conditions Service, working directly and indirectly with patients, families, and staff members.
  • Provide training, supervision, consultancy, and advice to multidisciplinary colleagues on psychological aspects of clinical management.
  • Contribute to service evaluation and planning, and support supervision and training of more junior clinical psychology staff.

Requirements

  • Good Honours degree in Psychology.
  • Post-graduate Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996) as accredited by the British Psychological Society.
  • Registration with Health and Care Professions Council as a Clinical Psychologist.
  • Clinical supervision training for supervising Doctoral trainees.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Record of publications in peer-reviewed or academic journals and/or books.
  • Post-doctoral training in one or more additional specialized areas of psychological practice.
