Job Title: Senior Mechanical Team Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Team Coordinator to join our team at National Nuclear Laboratory. As a Senior Mechanical Team Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our nuclear facilities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate team workload and manage resource allocation.
  • Analyse work requirements and forecast manning levels.
  • Ensure instructions, materials, tools, and equipment are available.
  • Communicate safety information and ensure adherence to procedures.
  • Develop and communicate plans for team members' growth and development.
  • Accountable for ensuring maintenance tasks are briefed, understood, and performed safely and on schedule.
  • Comply with legislative, regulatory, and company standards.
  • Responsible for ensuring delivery of work complies with site requirements.
  • Liaise with Technical Support Team for effective handover and hand-back arrangements.
  • Collaborate with Mechanical Engineers on plant upgrades or improvements.

Essential Criteria:

  • Mechanical Craft Apprenticeship or equivalent.
  • Thorough awareness of nuclear, conventional safety, and security requirements applicable to their area of responsibility.
  • Experience in supervising operations within a nuclear plant environment.
  • Strong communication skills, ability to convey key information to stakeholders.
  • Able to make conservative decisions even in pressure situations.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of operational & maintenance requirements.
  • Evidence of self-motivation, drive, energy, and resilience.
  • Requirement to become appointed as Task Supervisor and Sub Contractor Supervisor.
  • Able to obtain DV level security clearance.

Key Requirements:

  • Effective coordination and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyse and interpret data.
  • Proven track record of achieving goals and objectives.

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
