About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Television Licence Field Officer, where you will play a vital role in ensuring compliance with TV licensing regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct door-to-door visits to properties where no TV licence is registered.
  • Engage with customers to understand their reasons for not having a licence and make informed decisions on next steps.
  • Accurately record visit details and complete daily timesheets using our handheld device.
  • Explain and promote the benefits of all licence payment schemes.
  • Take and record payment details from customers.
  • Attend court as required to provide evidence in prosecution cases.
  • Carry out work and attend meetings as directed by the Visiting Manager.
  • Take records of interviews under caution.

Requirements:

  • You will need a full UK driving licence.
  • Physical mobility is essential, as you will be visiting multiple locations daily.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with excellent verbal and written English.
  • Previous experience is not essential, but excellent communication skills are a must.
