We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CAMHS Community Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Livewell Southwest CIC. As a key member of our Neurodiversity team, you will play a vital role in providing specialist assessment and interventions for children and young people with neurodevelopmental disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct holistic assessments for children and young people, working closely with the multi-agency network, including schools and social care.
- Join a Multi-disciplinary Team and work closely with other teams within the CAMHS service, holding a caseload of complex needs relating to the young person's neurodiversity or ongoing neurodiversity assessment.
- Assess and risk manage cases, providing clinical lead to non-registered staff for delegated tasks.
- Develop and deliver interventions within best evidence and to the highest possible standard, promoting the mental health and emotional well-being of children and young people.
- Contribute to the CAMHS Duty Rota, attending multi-agency meetings, and providing a mental health perspective.
- Develop excellent communication skills, applicable to working with young people, their families, and professional systems.
We are looking for an individual with:
- Well-established case management skills and good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise.
- Well-developed communication skills, both oral and written.
- Competent assessment and intervention skills.
Essential qualifications include a degree in Health or Social Care, current professional registration, and evidence of continued professional development relevant to this field of care.
Desirable qualifications include postgraduate training in relevant topics, such as mental health, trauma, child development, learning disability, and neurodiversity diagnosis.
Experience in assessment, risk management, and intervention, as well as working within multi-agency safeguarding systems, is essential. Desirable experience includes delivering training and working with models of mental health therapy.
