About the Role

Livewell Southwest CIC is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Practitioner to join our CAMHS team. As a CAMHS Community Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing early intervention services to children and young people in need of mental health support.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Work collaboratively with children, young people, and their families to assess and address emerging mental health difficulties.
  2. Represent CAMHS in multi-agency meetings to ensure a comprehensive understanding of mental health needs.
  3. Deliver training programs for schools and community services to promote mental health awareness and skills.
  4. Maintain high standards of care and adhere to best practices in mental health assessments and interventions.
  5. Liaise effectively with CAMHS pathways across the city to ensure seamless referrals and support.

Person Specification

Essential qualifications and experience include a core qualification in mental health, such as nursing, social work, or occupational therapy, with at least one year of experience working with children and young people in mental health settings. Postgraduate training in methods of working with children with mental health problems is desirable.
