We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Mental Health Practitioner to join our team in Plymouth, UK. As an Early Intervention Specialist, you will work closely with children, young people, and their families to provide targeted interventions and support. Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the emotional, psychological, and social well-being of children and young people, promoting resilience, prevention, and early intervention in line with the 2015 Future in Mind strategic vision for CAMHS. You will work as part of the locality-facing early help pathway, representing CAMHS in multi-agency meetings, and contributing to the delivery of training programs for schools and community services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide assessments, targeted interventions, and advice & support for children & young people.
  • Deliver training to community services and schools.
  • Represent CAMHS in multi-agency meetings such as EHAT, SEND meetings or child protection meetings.
  • Maintain standards of care to the highest level within available resources.
Person Specification:
  • Core qualification in any Mental health modality such as Nursing / Social Worker / OT with at least 1 year's experience of working with children & young people in mental health.
  • Post-graduate training qualification in methods of working with children with mental health problems, e.g., counselling, systemic practice or post-grad diploma in child and adolescent mental health.
Salary and Benefits:

This is a full-time position, offering a competitive salary of £28,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience. We also offer a range of benefits, including access to ongoing regular training packages, funding for training, and membership in the NHS Pension Scheme.
