Job Title: Mental Health Practitioner - Core Service

We are recruiting a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join our Core Community Mental Health Service in Plymouth, South Hams, and West Devon. This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, delivering specialist mental health interventions and supporting individuals with complex mental health needs.

About the Role

This is a challenging yet rewarding role, requiring strong clinical skills, effective communication, and a collaborative approach to working with service users, carers, and other healthcare professionals. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to individuals with complex mental health needs, ensuring they receive the right support at the right time.

The successful candidate will have significant post-registration experience in mental health, with a proven track record of working with adults with severe and enduring mental illness. You will possess excellent assessment and management skills, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality mental health assessments and interventions for individuals with complex needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, working closely with service users, carers, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Act as a shift lead, coordinating service delivery, prioritizing workload, and providing clinical advice to junior staff.
  • Liaise with other community resources and facilitate use of mainstream services.
Salary

The estimated salary for this position is £45,000-£55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
