Mental Health Support Professional

An exciting opportunity exists for Mental Health Support Workers to provide holistic recovery-focused support to clients with mental health needs across the EEDMHS.
Salvation Army Homes offers comprehensive housing services, support, and resettlement.
The Mental Health Support Worker will engage creatively with clients based on their identified support needs to develop skills and resources enabling independent living.
This involves providing high-quality support through 1:1 and group sessions, working closely with external partner agencies.
- Support and accompany clients to essential appointments, e.g., related to health, debts, or housing.
- Support and advise clients to access information on housing, health, welfare, benefits, and other resources.
- Support with medication, where required.
- Help assess potential new clients.
- Liaise with external agencies including Health Professionals.
- Help manage incidents or challenging behaviour.
- Develop person-centred Support Plans and Risk Management Plans and keep accurate records.
