About the Role

Livewell Southwest CIC is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated professional to join our team as a CAMHS Community Practitioner. This exciting opportunity will enable you to work with children, young people, and families to provide early intervention services and support their emotional, psychological, and social wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work as part of the locality facing early help pathway to support children and young people with emerging mental health difficulties.
  • Represent CAMHS in multi-agency meetings to co-ordinate and have oversight of mental health elements of multi-agency plans.
  • Deliver training programmes for schools and community services from a portfolio of available CAMHS training.
  • Maintain standards of care to the highest level within available resources.
  • Liaise effectively with CAMHS pathways across the city.
  • Maintain confidentiality in respect of young people at all times.
  • Communicate clearly with children, young people, their families, and all other health professional groups about their health problems.
Person Specification

We are looking for a professional with a core qualification in mental health, such as nursing, social work, or occupational therapy, with at least one year's experience of working with children and young people in mental health. Postgraduate training qualifications in methods of working with children with mental health problems are desirable.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working within children's mental health, assessing mental health assessments, and managing risk. They will also have knowledge of legislation and policies relating to children's mental health and be able to travel across Plymouth.
