About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CAMHS Community Mental Health Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide specialist assessment and interventions for children and young people with neurodevelopmental disorders, including ADHD, learning disabilities, autism, tics, and Tourette's.

You will work closely with other teams within the CAMHS service, including schools and social care, to provide a holistic assessment and develop effective care plans. Your expertise will be invaluable in assessing and managing complex cases, and providing clinical leadership to non-registered staff.

Key Responsibilities
  1. To provide specialist assessment and interventions for children and young people with neurodevelopmental disorders.
  2. To work closely with other teams within the CAMHS service, including schools and social care, to provide a holistic assessment and develop effective care plans.
  3. To assess and manage complex cases, and provide clinical leadership to non-registered staff.
  4. To contribute to the development of our team's specialist knowledge and skills.
Person Specification
  • Well-established case management skills and good organisational skills with ability to prioritise.
  • Well-developed communication skills both oral and written.
  • Competent assessment and intervention skills.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Degree in Health or Social Care.
  • Current Professional registration.
  • Evidence of continued professional development relevant to this field of care.
  • Postgraduate training in relevant topics, e.g., relating to mental health, trauma, child development, learning disability, neurodiversity diagnosis.
