CAMHS Community Mental Health Practitioner

Livewell Southwest CIC is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated CAMHS Community Mental Health Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our Neurodiversity team, you will play a vital role in providing specialist assessment and interventions for children and young people with neurodevelopmental disorders.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct holistic assessments for children and young people, working closely with the multi-agency network, including schools and social care.
- Join a Multi-disciplinary Team and work collaboratively with other teams within the CAMHS service to provide specialist clinical practice for children and young people with neuro-developmental disorders.
- Assess and risk manage cases, providing clinical lead to non-registered staff for delegated tasks.
- Develop and implement intervention plans based on best evidence and best practice.
- Contribute to the CAMHS Duty Rota, ensuring a comprehensive and responsive service to children and young people in need.
- Collaborate with other agencies, attending multi-agency meetings to provide a mental health perspective and promote improved communication and collaboration.
- Engage in regular clinical supervision, child protection supervision, and operational line management supervision to ensure high-quality practice and ongoing professional development.
- Well-established case management skills and good organisational skills with ability to prioritise.
- Well-developed communication skills, both oral and written.
- Competent assessment and intervention skills.
- Protected CPD time for registered staff.
- Various development pathways and ongoing regular training packages for all staff.
- Leadership and mentoring programmes.
- Access and funding for training, including Care Certificate, Assistant Practitioners Course, and Scholarship Into Nurse Training.
- A robust preceptorship programme.
