We are seeking highly skilled Academic Support Assistants to join our team at SAAF Education in Tower Hamlets, East London. As an Academic Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with special educational needs, helping them to access education and achieve their full potential.

About the Role: This is an exciting opportunity for professionals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children. You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to create personalized learning environments that cater to the unique needs of each child.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children with Autism (ASC), ADHD, and Speech and Language Difficulties in a 1:1 setting or as part of a classroom resource team
  • Develop and implement individualized learning plans that promote academic and personal growth
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure inclusive education practices

Requirements:

  • A minimum of recent experience working with children with special educational needs
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to complete a new application)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
