About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team in Milton Keynes. As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will work closely with our Occupational Therapists to provide high-quality care to our service users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with Occupational Therapists to plan and implement groups and one-to-one sessions to improve and enable everyday activities for service users.
  • Support service users to engage in care plans that reflect their recovery goals.
  • Practice within the Community Mental Health HUB setting with appropriate supervision from a qualified Occupational Therapist.

Person Specification

  • Good general education up to GCSE/A level standard/NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare environment, preferably in mental health.
  • Previous experience as an OTA, Activity Co-ordinator, or working under OT supervision.
  • Good communication skills, IT literacy, and ability to relate to individuals and groups.
  • Full driving license to use unit vehicle.
