MaxAd, a leading supplier of textile accessory brands to the business-to-business personalisation industry, is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven German speaking Commercial Business Development Manager to join their growing team.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in distributor sales and excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong commercial relationships and adapt to an international distributor environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote a positive image of MaxAd, both internally and externally, through effective representation and liaison with customers and stakeholders.
  • Become the principal point of contact to ensure positive outcomes for customer and client brands, with local language support playing a key role in driving successful relationship building and account management.
  • Meticulously prepare for all pre-planned meetings to deliver high-quality results.
  • Develop and implement sales growth strategies, including new product 'sell-ins', sales performance reviews, arranging events, shows and communication campaigns, product training or creating product sampling opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with other Commercial Team members to ensure consistency in product training delivery to customers and their customers.
  • Manage customer accounts by liaising with the marketing department, sustainability and QC department, and sales department to address logistics, finance, and purchasing issues efficiently.
  • Play a crucial role in planning and executing pre- and post-show set-up, as well as attending major European trade events and shows to build relationships with key stakeholders and increase market knowledge.
  • Monitor competitor activity and network with non-competitive brands to gather market intelligence and provide feedback to the Head of Commercial.
  • Provide accurate and timely feedback to the Product Development department on new product ideas, improvements, and shortfalls of current offerings, collected from the market.

Requirements:

  • Fluent German language skills, written and spoken.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30-35 nights away per year.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and business skills.
  • A business qualification (NVQ, BTEC, degree in Business Administration, etc.) is desirable.
