Autism Educational Support Worker

As an Autism Educational Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing specialist support to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a Portsmouth school.
You will work closely with teaching staff to develop and implement strategies that meet the individual needs of each student, creating a supportive learning environment that promotes academic success and social growth.
- Assess and identify the needs of students with ASD, developing tailored support plans.
- Support students with reading, writing, and numeracy tasks, adapting materials to suit individual learning styles.
- Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging independence and self-esteem.
- Collaborate with teachers to monitor student progress and contribute to the assessment process.
- Promote inclusion and diversity within the school community.
Requirements include relevant experience, a compassionate approach, flexibility, and strong communication skills. Part-time and full-time roles are considered, with working hours from 08:30 to 15:30 during term time.
Compensation Package:Estimated salary range £24,000 - £29,000 per annum, depending on experience.
