Teaching Assistant for Children with Autism

As a Teaching Assistant for Children with Autism, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support to students with Special Educational Needs in a Portsmouth school.
You will work closely with teaching staff to develop strategies that meet the individual needs of each student, creating a supportive learning environment that promotes academic success and social growth.
- Develop and implement tailored support plans for students with additional needs.
- Support students with reading, writing, and numeracy tasks, adapting materials to suit individual learning styles.
- Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging independence and self-esteem.
- Collaborate with teachers to monitor student progress and contribute to the assessment process.
- Promote inclusion and diversity within the school community.
Requirements include relevant experience, a compassionate approach, flexibility, and strong communication skills. Part-time and full-time roles are considered, with working hours from 08:30 to 15:30 during term time.
What We Offer:Estimated salary range £22,000 - £27,000 per annum, depending on experience.
