SEN Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Learning Support Assistant to work in a Special Needs school in Portsmouth. As an LSA, you will provide essential support to students with moderate to complex learning and physical needs, helping them to achieve their full potential in a safe and supportive environment.
Main Responsibilities- Support students with SEND in both one-to-one and small group settings.
- Assist the classroom teacher in delivering tailored learning plans.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor and report on student progress.
- Adapt learning materials to meet individual needs.
- Previous experience working with children with SEND.
- A caring and patient approach to supporting students with varying needs.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A flexible and proactive attitude.
- A valid DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
