Special Needs Education Support Professional

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to support children with Special Educational Needs in a Portsmouth school.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with teaching staff to create a supportive environment where every student can reach their full potential.

  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with additional needs.
  • Support students with reading, writing, and numeracy tasks, adapting materials to suit individual needs.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging independence and self-esteem.
  • Collaborate with teachers to monitor student progress and contribute to the assessment process.
  • Promote inclusion and diversity within the school community.

Requirements include relevant experience, a compassionate approach, flexibility, and strong communication skills. Part-time and full-time roles are considered, with working hours from 08:30 to 15:30 during term time.

Salary and Benefits:

Estimated salary range £20,000 - £25,000 per annum, depending on experience.
