Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant - Portsmouth Area

We are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with Special Educational Needs in a lovely school located in the Portsmouth area.

Salary: £18,000 - £22,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

About the School

The school is set in lovely grounds and caters for Primary aged children with moderate to complex needs, including Social and Communication difficulties, Speech and Language needs, learning difficulties, and Autism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support students with academic tasks, including reading, writing, and numeracy, adapting materials and activities to suit individual needs.
  • Promote inclusion and diversity within the school community, respecting the individuality of each student.
Requirements
  1. Relevant experience working with children with SEN.
  2. Flexibility and adaptability in responding to the changing needs of students and the school environment.

This is a part-time or full-time position, working during term time, with hours from 08:30 to 15:30. All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. We offer a competitive salary and opportunities for professional development.
