Learning Support Specialist Vacancy

We are seeking skilled Learning Support Specialists to work with Prospero Teaching on a part-time basis. The successful candidates will be responsible for providing individualized tuition to children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

About the Role:

As a Learning Support Specialist, you will develop and deliver tailored lesson plans to address pupils' specific needs and enhance their educational experiences. You will also monitor progress, submit regular reports, and collaborate with Prospero Teaching to ensure effective support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement personalized lesson plans to meet pupils' unique requirements
  • Deliver engaging and interactive sessions that promote learning and confidence
  • Regularly assess progress, submit reports, and work closely with Prospero Teaching to ensure optimal support

Requirements:

  • QTS or equivalent qualification
  • Relevant UK teaching experience or experience working with SEN children
  • Proven ability to support young people with SEN
  • Creative approach, patience, and flexibility to adapt to different situations
  • Experience working with pupils with challenging behavior and disengagement issues
  • Enhanced DBS certificate and two professional child-related references

Contract Details:

Duration: Until the pupil is able to reintegrate into a mainstream/special school

Contract type: Temporary

Hours: Part-time (a minimum of 6 hours per week, per student)

Pay rate: £27+ per hour
