Occupational Health Officer Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Occupational Health Officer to join our team at Collaborate Recruitment. As an Occupational Health Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees and clients.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for enforcing and adhering to all occupational health and safety regulations, as well as keeping up-to-date with any changes or updates to legislation.

You will develop, implement, and maintain all occupational health and safety policies, procedures, and guidelines for the company, ensuring staff are trained and up-to-date with policies and procedures as required.

Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and take steps to mitigate them.
  2. Develop and implement occupational health and safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  3. Provide guidance and training to staff on occupational health and safety policies and procedures.
  4. Promote a safe working environment and highlight significant deficiencies to senior management.
Salary and Benefits:

Competitive basic salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Company pension scheme, cycle to work scheme, free parking on site, life insurance, and private medical insurance.

We estimate that this role pays around £50,000 per year.

Requirements:
  • NEBOSH or IOSH certificate with experience in occupational health and safety.
  • GMP ISO 22716 – Good Manufacturing Practice – this would be ideal, but not essential as training can be provided.
  • Previous experience in a similar Occupational Health and Safety role is essential.
