Role and Responsibilities

As a Regional Sales Manager at CAE, you will be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and converting profitable business opportunities within our business unit's domain. Your assigned territory will cover the UK, France, Italy, and Luxembourg, with a focus on revenue management and generating new business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a deep understanding of the market in which CAE operates, staying close to users and relevant stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities at the earliest stage to facilitate initial marketing contacts and positioning, and to determine CAE's competitive advantage.
  • Develop a budget for approval by the Sales Director to pursue identified opportunities that require external and/or internal resources.
  • Ensure that prospective partners are identified to reduce project risks and increase bid discriminators.
  • Present a bid strategy to Senior Management, highlighting the value of the opportunity, potential partners, technology requirements, potential win price, and CAE discriminators.
  • Manage the bid team within the agreed budget to meet timescales and Company profitability targets while producing a winning bid.
  • Negotiate with the customer during the bid appraisal stage prior to preferred bidder announcement.
  • Conclude final pricing, terms, and conditions in conjunction with Senior Management.
  • Transfer accountability for project execution to the Programme/Project Manager on completion of the internal contract review.
  • Play an active role in Company exhibitions, demonstrations, and public relations.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 8 to 12 years of relevant experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Business aviation or airline experience desirable.
  • Thorough sales and marketing experience within a project environment.
  • Experience of managing the bid process.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Fluency in English (mandatory) and French (desirable).
