Role and Responsibilities

As a Regional Sales Manager at CAE, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing profitable business opportunities within our Business Aviation Training Centre in Burgess Hill, West Sussex.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Understand the market in which CAE operates, remaining close to users and relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure opportunities are identified at the earliest stage to facilitate initial marketing contacts and positioning.
  • Generate a budget for approval by the Sales Director to pursue identified opportunities.
  • Ensure prospective partners are identified to reduce project risks and increase bid discriminators.
  • Present a bid strategy to Senior Management, highlighting the value of the opportunity, potential partners, technology requirements, and CAE discriminators.
  • Identify and manage the bid team within the agreed budget to meet timescales and Company profitability targets.
  • Negotiate with customers during the bid appraisal stage prior to preferred bidder announcement.
  • Conclude final pricing, terms, and conditions in conjunction with Senior Management.
  • Transfer accountability for project execution to the Programme/Project Manager on completion of the internal contract review.
  • Play an active role in Company exhibitions, demonstrations, and public relations.
Our Ideal Candidate:
  • Minimum of 8 to 12 years of relevant experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Business aviation or airline experience desirable.
  • Thorough sales and marketing experience within a project environment.
  • Experience of managing the bid process.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Fluency in English (mandatory) and French (desirable).

Contract Details & Location

This hybrid position is based at our Business Aviation Training Centre in Burgess Hill, West Sussex. We are offering a full-time and permanent contract. The working hours of the role are Monday to Friday, 39 hours a week. This role requires frequent travel (up to 70%) to the assigned territories.
