About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiac Physiologist to join our team at the Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our Cardiology service, you will be responsible for providing expert echocardiography services to meet the acute inpatient demand and working in collaboration with community echo teams to provide outpatient services for residents of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

Main Duties
  • Provide high-quality echocardiography services to patients, including transthoracic and transoesophageal echocardiography.
  • Work collaboratively with community echo teams to provide outpatient services and develop Physiologist Led echo services such as valve surveillance clinics and Clinical Scientist Led ACHD clinics.
  • Develop and implement a Stress Echo service.
  • Contribute to the education and training of junior Physiologists and other members of the MDT.
Requirements
  • BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent and BSE accreditation or equivalent.
  • Substantial experience in cardiac physiology with knowledge of a range of cardiac diagnostic procedures.
  • Demonstrable advanced CPD relating to specialist echo techniques.
