Job Title: Chief Cardiac Physiologist / Scientist

We are seeking an experienced Chief Cardiac Physiologist / Scientist to join our team at the Royal Cornwall Hospital, Truro. As a key member of our Cardiology service, you will be responsible for providing high-quality echocardiography services to patients across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

About the Role

As a Chief Cardiac Physiologist / Scientist, you will be responsible for leading a team of physiologists and scientists, and will play a key role in the development and implementation of our echocardiography services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of physiologists and scientists in the delivery of echocardiography services
  • Develop and implement new echocardiography services and protocols
  • Contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and policies
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to colleagues and patients
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and audits
Requirements
  • BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent
  • Professional registration on the Academy of Healthcare Science (AHCS/RCCP)
  • BSE accreditation
  • Substantial experience in cardiac physiology, including echocardiography
  • Ability to lead and manage a team
